About Me
After a twenty-year career in the care industry, I decided to retrain as a counsellor following a significant period marked by chronic illness and burnout. This journey deeply shifted my perspective and provided me with valuable insights into the vulnerabilities and challenges many people face. I understand and have a profound empathy for anyone who finds themselves needing to rewrite the script of their life when their world gets turned upside down through illness, divorce, bereavement, and numerous other difficult life circumstances that often appear out of the blue. I believe that facing such challenges can lead to transformative growth, even if the path is fraught with difficulty. My training encompasses a range of therapeutic modalities, including CBT, Rogerian Person-Centred Therapy, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, and Sand Tray therapy. Additionally, I incorporate working with objects, which adds a unique dimension to my practice. This approach is something I particularly enjoy introducing in my Walk and Talk (Eco Therapy) sessions, where nature provides a soothing backdrop that fosters healing and self-discovery. Through these methods, I aim to create a safe space for my clients to explore their thoughts and feelings, ultimately guiding them towards a place of renewed hope and understanding.
